KokoBongo Beach is the idea of a Ghanaian/ Dutch couple . We wanted a nice place for
ourselves and others, who love the beach in Ghana. Just between two totally different
villages, Saltpond and Komantse, you will discover the typical Ghanaian lifestyle.
The sea looks so beautiful . You can surf ,play football or volleyball on the beach.
You can walk or jog for miles and meet the fishermen. If you help them to get the
net in, you will share in the catch.
We have four up and down rooms (with a double bed) all with sea-view, their own balcony, shower and toilet. We also have a family room (a double bed and two single beds). All the rooms have the natural sea breeze to keep you cool at night. You can also sleep on the platform outside and we have places for tents too. On the compound there are a lot of coconut trees , so there is enough shade. We are trying to grow other trees and plants as well. We can pick you a fresh coconut from our own trees.

Restaurant
In our restaurant on the beach we make some other food than the usual Ghanaian food but with the local ingredients. So the food is not really Ghanaian or Continental; it is local but made with a western flavor. The fish is just caught by the local fishermen. We serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Bar
At the bar you will find the local drinks and you will discover that a local beer or cocktail is maybe nicer than an imported whisky or wodka. (and much cheaper!)
If you want more than the Ghanaian lifestyle you can walk to Abandze, fort Amsterdam.
A tro-tro will bring you in twenty minutes to Cape Coast , the first capital of Ghana. There you can visit the fort, the historical slave castle, and we can help you to buy your gifts for really good prices.
If you want we can drive you and make a pubtour with you. You can also visit the national park Kakum.
